Please tell me the Navy is joking

This story is everywhere, but I read it here first.

Some enterprising people found this building, which from above, obviously looks like a swastika. Locals have been lobbying the Navy to do something to change the shape of the building so that it doesn’t appear like an offensive symbol anymore. The Navy has now committed to spending $600,000 on landscaping and architecture to mask the shape of the building.

Are you kidding me? Are you f-ing kidding me?! The US Navy is going to spend more than a half million dollars on landscaping and architecture to mask the shape of a building because — from hundreds of feet above — it looks like a swastika?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

I can’t believe how stupid we’ve become.

Update: I got so upset about this that I had to go take a walk. I was on my way back home when I noticed that if I close one eye, turn my head all the way to the left, stand on one leg and hop, my house looks remarkably like Hitler’s mustache. I have alerted my neighborhood association, insisting that they spend ridiculous amounts of money to fix it.

Meanwhile, all the real problems in the world still exist.

My transvestite barber’s car

My transvestite barber drives a big long white Caddy! I saw him getting into it today.

You would think it was a party
You would think it was a party, not a tranny’s car.

It was an older Caddy, but very clean and nice. I’m not sure about the model but I think it was an El Dorado or a Coup Deville or maybe a Fleetwood Brougham. He had it parked in a handicapped space, too.

That’s not a euphemism; I mean that literally. He had his white Cadillac parked in a designated handicapped space. Just so you know.

I need to get another haircut soon. I’ll try to get a photo of the beast, but I don’t quite know how to ask a 6′4″ (wo)man if I can snap her photo.

I’m working that out, though.

Day off

I didn’t go to work today.

Mamala Bay Rainbow
Rainbow over the course this morning

Instead, my friend (who just got back from 15 months in Iraq) and I played 18 holes at Mamala Bay Golf Course. After that, we went to the beach at Bellows for a few hours of boogie boarding.

Every day should be like this. But I only get 30 days off a year.
