I am exactly the type of person to admit when I’ve been outdone. I’ve been making silly songs for years, but this is REALLY a good one–better than anything I’ve made.

It’s the Holiday Season. That’s why I haven’t been writing much.

But suddenly I thought, what if you need gift ideas? Well in case you didn’t know, a book is a great gift. I can suggest a funny book called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. It’s really good. Another one worth mentioning is the one I’m currently reading, Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell.

But if your recipient isn’t too hip on books, or if you don’t know which books he or she has already read, you can get him or her what I’m asking for this year: Hats. Hats are sweet. You can wear them pretty much anytime you like, and if you get enough of them you can have one for every occasion.

This year I’m asking for the following hats:

Mao cap — A classic everyday hat for the little dictator in you.
Viking Skull Hat — Everyone needs one of these.
King’s Crown — Be your own majesty for only $25!
Fuzzy pink top hat — I saw a stripper wearing one of these–and very little else–in a Las Vegas 7-11. Gotta have one.
Cowboy hat — My old one is busted.
Straw pith helmet — Just for those adventurous days
Devil pilot hat — for flying days

You can even get church hats for the tutus (that’s Hawaiian pidgin for ‘old ladies’) on your list.

So there you have my gift ideas: Books and hats.
